How to put ion-icon in ion-option

20 minutes ago, my boss asked me to add an icon inside a dropdown. Guess what?

• Ionicons inside ion-select / ion-option
• Ion-icon inside ion-option
• Ion-item with checkbox and icon on item-icon-right & icons in ion-option
• Add icon to ion-option in ion-select

Once again, the ionic team did not feel the need to answer these questions. A simple "NO, you can't" would be much better than this silence.

The stackoverflow link says that you can use unicode characters and indeed, this is working:

<ion-option value="asc">Date ↑</ion-option>

But still… f*** ionic
